The Easy weekend route for boats with a clearance of 2.40 metres is a varied route, which is also suitable for beginners. You pass wide waters, narrow canals and rivers, small and larger lakes, and pass (or go through) beautiful cosy villages and towns.
After a short, manageable stretch on the Van Harinxmakanaal (here you can get used to the boat on the wide water). The route then heads south via the "Standing Mast Route" to Grou. After about 1.5 hours of sailing you will reach this cosy water sports resort for your first overnight stay.
If you have booked a practical sailing training and are back at our base at around 5:00 / 5:30 pm, the first part of this weekend trip to Grou with about one and a half hours sailing time is easily to realise.

The next day we continue our journey over the Princess - Margriet - Canal, across the Sneekermeer and through small waters passing Joure (Douwe Egberts coffee roasting plant) over the Langwarder Wielen in a westerly direction to Woudsend or Heeg. You can stay overnight in one of these two cosy places.
If you want to take a longer day (orange route), you can also drive southwards over the Tjeukemeer through Sloten, the smallest town in Friesland with about 900 inhabitants and even further north to Woudsend or Heeg, where you can stay overnight in the centre or in the marina.
On Sunday you drive from Woudsend (Heeg) via Osingahuizen and IJlst to Sneek and then via the Sneeker Trekvaart (De Zwette) with many low bridges on the way further north, in the evening you will reach our marina in Leeuwarden again.
