Sneek as one of the 11 Frisian cities is certainly one of the pearls of Friesland. This place is known to most water sports due to its location amidst the Frisian lakes in the immediate vicinity of the place named after Sneekermeers. Many attractions can be found here, such as originating from the 1613 fort "Waterpoort", which is also the symbol of the city.
