Langweer, a small pictorial village at the edge of the Langweerder Wielen. The characteristic village route with old fronts and the more than two hundred years old lime trees form together with the terraces a pictorial unit. An old village with a rich history. For many centuries it was attainable only on the water route. It was a distinguished place; in particular by the possession of a balance Langweer stood in the far environment in high reputation.


The Hervormde Kerk (evgl. church) with their tower, on which a swan thront, has beautiful pulpit from 1684, one taufstein and three gentleman banks from that 17. Century as well as a special organ (Van Dam organ) from the year 1784. The law courts and the balance (1858) are remarkable buildings.

Langweer

The most important meetings are the Skutjesilen (trad. sail competition in July/August), which notices Amsterdamer day (3rd Saturday in June) and the Langweerder market with open sail competitions. Objects of interest Osingastate Osingastate, a particularly characteristic building, one inhabits today by private individuals. The monumental farm (Buorren 1) was in former times the orangerie of Osingastate. Hervormde kerk (evgl. church), Oasingaleane 9, .
Inspection after registration. The Sweachmer moles, Boarnsweachterdyk 4, is a grain and a poldermuehle (1782). The mill is meal ready and grinds also regularly.
